Department of Energy is proposing to provide federal funding to the recipient to construct an outdoor training facility at Salt Lake Community College (SLCC). The proposed site for the training facility is on the SLCC Meadowbrook Campus located on the northeast comer of 3900 South and 300 West in a commercial/industrial area of Salt Lake City. The site is approximately 75 feet wide and 150 feet deep. It is situated behind and contiguous with Building C of the campus. Light rail tracks boarder the site on the east. The area is fenced. The Site is accessed from 300 West. The site is covered with approximately 75 percent compacted road base and 25 percent weeds and grass. Prior uses of the site include equipment storage, semi-trailer driver training, backing and parking.
