The Oregon Department of Energy intends on making DOE Recovery Act funds available to agricultural business owners to install energy-efficient equipment. Projects will include design, equipment, installation, and startup costs. Project efforts will include installation of variable speed drive control for energy-efficient process improvements; energy-efficient pumps; energy-efficient irrigation water application systems such as drip systems, pivot, or linear sprinklers; soil moisture monitoring systems to allow reduced pumping energy usage; and installation on small solar photovoltaic systems.
