The State of Washington will provide $2,000,000 of Recovery Act funds to Port Townsend Paper Company (PTPC) to replace PTPC's #10 power boiler controls with a modern and efficient Distributed Control System (DCS). The new DCS will allow PTPC to burn more biomass and use less oil. In addition, the new control system will positively affect the combustion air system resulting in better emissions control.
