The City of Kansas City would renovate their existing Transportation Operations Center (TOG) to house a new Signal Synchronization Center (SSG). The 48,000 sq ft TOG is a pre-engineered metal structure currently located at 5310 Municipal Drive, Kansas City, within a large mixed-use zone of commercial and industrial uses. The proposed renovations would impact the front third of the building in the following manner: - Renovate 5,000 sq ft of existing office space into new private offices, open work stations, conference room, and dispatch room. - Create a new reception area, lobby, traffic command center, and break room {total square footage of 5,400 sq ft). - Create a new 1,600 sq foot mezzanine level to be provided above a new entry/reception area. - Replace existing inefficient building front with an energy efficient storefront wall - Install a new entry ramp with access to the new entry vestibule. - Install new landscape beds along the south facade. - Incorporate 13 new parking stalls to replace those being removed in order to install landscape features.
