Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) funds.The geothermal system will be used in conjunction with the existing facility's primary heating system to alleviate process piping from freezing and reduce overall operating costs. Great Northern Engineering (GNE) has determined that a 5 ton geothermal system may be possible in order to remain under the $50,000 price cap established by the customer; recommendations have been presented as a solution for preventing pipe freeze-up and improve the performance of the current heating system.
