The K-Area portion of the heavy water (HW) inventory will be managed for disposition first. Planned disposal will consist of stabilization and packaging by an offsite vendor for anticipated ultimate placement at the Nevada Test Site (or other waste storage facility to be determined). Prior to providing vendor access to K-Area heavy water, drummed material will be removed from K-Area, and the HW inventory currently maintained in storage tanks will be pumped to drums and removed from K-Area.
