The Hawaiian Electric Company will use Department of Energy Congressionally Directed Project funding to investigate specific integration strategies or initiatives which will enable them to implement wind resources unique to the respective island grids, "Smart Grid" prepare the system and support more collaborative planning for reliable operations.
