Bearing Analytics

Purdue University

Avoidable bearing failures cost the US industrial economy $50B in damage and downtime every year. Current bearing health monitoring systems do not adequately detect failure until it is too late. Bearing Analytics offers a patent-pending micro-sensor technology that monitors temperature and vibration directly on the bearing cage helping predict performance degradation and impending failure while improving operating, performance, and energy efficiencies. Our technology does all of that with a better accuracy, faster response time, and increased reliability over any other competing solution today.

We intend to target the wind turbine industry as our initial target point for entry. This industry spends $500M-$700M annually on bearing related gearbox failures and replacements alone – making unexpected bearing failures the most expensive component of wind turbine maintenance today. Improved condition monitoring and failure prediction capabilities enabled by our technology can reduce this cost by over 65%.

This platform technology addresses a $30B pain point in the US industrial economy across multiple markets, and is worth $100s of Billions globally. Energy efficiency is a by-product of improved lubrication and maintenance – enabled by improved condition monitoring. We make going green and economical decision!

PlasTek™ is patent-pending technology created by Inviroment™ that facilitates the biodegradation of all types of plastic found in landfills. PlasTek™ is sprayed onto waste as it enters a landfill and begins to decompose any plastic it touches, resulting in additional landfill capacity. It also accelerates methane output from plastics, which can be collected from landfills as a source of clean energy.
