Secretary of Energy Advisory Board Hosts Conference Call on Shale Gas Draft Report

Washington, DC - On Monday, November 14, 2011, the Secretary of Energy Advisory Board (SEAB) will convene a public meeting via conference call to discuss the SEAB Subcommittee on Shale Gas Production draft report . Secretary Chu to Join President Obama at APEC Leaders Meeting

Washington D.C. - U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu will join President Barack Obama at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Ministers and Economic Leaders’ Meetings in Honolulu, Hawaii.  APEC brings member economies together to facilitate economic cooperation, expand trade, and promote job growth. Secretary Chu will participate in the closing plenary session, delivering a presentation focusing on energy efficiency in appliances.

Secretary Chu to Discuss Importance of Electric Grid Modernization to U.S. Competitiveness at Gridwise Global Forum

Washington D.C. - U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu will join Israeli Minster of National Infrastructures, Uzi Landau, in opening the second annual GridWise Global Forum on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 in Washington, D.C.
