The Mission of the Office of Management is to provide the Department of Energy with centralized direction and oversight for the full range of management, procurement and administrative services.
The Office of Management’s activities include project and contract management, cost estimating, and policy development and oversight, One of the principal outcomes in exercising this responsibility is the delivery of projects on schedule, within budget, with the required performance capability, and compliant with quality, environmental, safety and health standards.
The Office of Management provides many of the administrative services that keep the Department of Energy Headquarters operational. These services include managerial support functions that are critical to supporting the mission of the Department and its varied program offices, as well as keeping the Headquarters facilities operating.
Procurement and Acquisition
The Office of Management fulfills the statutory responsibilities of the Chief Acquisition Officer and serves as the Department’s Senior Procurement Executive. The organization is responsible for all contracting, financial assistance and related activities to fulfill the Department's multitude of missions through its business relationships.
