Nearly 60% of the 1,621 housing units on the reservation lack adequate insulation, ventilation, and efficient and safe furnaces and appliances. The project will achieve the following objectives: (1) to enhance tribal member energy expertise for reducing tribal energy consumption and for implementing energy efficiency measures, (2) to increase the tribe's capacity to secure additional funding for energy conservation, including state-sponsored investments, and (3) to create significant energy savings in tribal homes and promote economic and environmental opportunities to sustain Red Lake. Learn more about this project or find details in the below status reports.
