Preliminary Notice of Violation,Westinghouse Savannah River Company EA 2004-03

This letter refers to the Department of Energy’s Office of Price-Anderson Enforcement (OE) investigation of the facts and circumstances concerning the unnecessary radiation exposure of three Westinghouse Savannah River Company (WSRC) personnel and the subsequent falsification of radiation dose records.

On April 6, 2004, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) issued a Preliminary Notice of Violation (EA-2004-03) to Westinghouse Savannah River Company for violations of 10C.F.R. Parts 830 and 835 and 10 C.F.R. 820.11 associated with unnecessary personnel radiation exposure during material repackaging activities and the subsequent falsification of radiation dose records at DOE's Savannah River Site.
