On May 23, 2012, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Health, Safety and Security’s Office of Enforcement and Oversight issued a Preliminary Notice of Violation (WEA-2012-01) to LATA Environmental Services of Kentucky, LLC for violations of 10 C.F.R. 851 associated with an employee exposure to heat stress conditions during maintenance work in building C-310 and violations of 10 C.F.R. 830 associated with a uranium hexafluoride release from a process line during deactivation in building C-410 at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant.
