The Secretary of Energy’s Office of Independent Oversight and Performance Assurance (OA) conducted an inspection of environment, safety, and health (ES&H) management at the Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Site in January-February 2002.

This report provides the results of an inspection of environment, safety, and health management at the Department of Energy's (DOE) Hanford Site.  The inspection was performed in January and February 2002 by the Office of Environment, Safety and Health Evaluations, within the DOE Office of Independent Oversight and Performance Assurance, to assess the effectiveness of selected aspects of the Hanford Site environment, safety and health programs and integrated safety management system implementation.  The inspection focused on the Hanford Site’s nuclear material stabilization project and associated work activities at the Plutonium Finishing Plant.
