Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Chronic Beryllium Disease Prevention Program Effectiveness Review [HIAR-LLNL-2011-03-25]

This Independent Activity Report documents an oversight activity conducted by Office of Health, Safety and Security's (HSS) Office of Safety and Emergency Management Evaluations March 14-25, 2011, at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL).  The Laboratory and the Livermore Site Office (LSO) chartered a team to conduct an effectiveness review of corrective actions implemented for previously identified issues with the Laboratory's Chronic Beryllium Disease Prevention Program.  The team included members and observers from LLNL, LSO, the National Nuclear Security Administration, and HSS. The HSS team member assessed issues related to the sections of 10 C.F.R. Part 850 concerning medical surveillance and medical removal.
