DOE ordered Sears, Roebuck & Co. to pay an $8,000 civil penalty after finding Sears had failed to certify that Sears dehumidifiers comply with the applicable energy conservation standard. The Order adopted a Compromise Agreement, which reflected settlement terms between DOE and Sears.
