On Feb. 7, 2011, DOE notified Freidrich that room air conditioner model CP15F10 did not meet ENERGY STAR energy-efficient requirements. DOE gave Friedrich until Feb. 28, 201 to meet energy-efficient standards. DOE determined that Friedrich did not meet the ENERGY STAR requirements and decided to refer the matter to the EPA.
