Letter from DOE to EPA, Re: referral of Equator Appliance to EPA, brand manager for ENERGY STAR
On Sept. 21, 2010 DOE informed Equator Appliance that DOE had tested Equator clothes washer model EZ 3720 CEE as part of the ENERGY STAR Verification Testing Pilot Program and that the model exceeded ENERGY STAR requirements for water factor by 12.3 percent. Equator failed to request additional testing before the Oct. 1, 2010 deadline. Therefore, DOE referred the matter to the EPA, brand manager for ENERGY STAR.
