DOE determined three basic models of room air conditioners manufactured by Friedrich Air Conditioning Company do not meet minimum energy efficiency requirements under the ENERGY STAR program. This letter refers the matter to the Environmental Protection Agency, brand manager for the ENERGY STAR Program, for enforcement action.
