Anne Harkavy - Deputy General Counsel for Litigation, Regulation and Enforcement
Anne Harkavy serves as Deputy General Counsel for Litigation, Regulation and Enforcement for the U.S. Department of Energy. Prior to joining the Department, she was a partner at the law firm of WilmerHale LLP, where she was a Vice Chair of the firm's Government and Regulatory Litigation Group. Her practice focused on representing companies and individuals in congressional oversight and investigation matters and on trial and appellate litigation with governmental or public policy dimensions.
Ms. Harkavy served as Deputy National Counsel for Senator John Kerry's presidential campaign in 2004 while on a leave of absence from WilmerHale. From 2009-2013, Ms. Harkavy served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Washington Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs.
Ms. Harkavy began her legal career as a clerk to the Honorable Paul V. Niemeyer of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. She received her J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School and her A.B. magna cum laude in Government from Harvard College.
