Guido DeHoratiis served as the Associate Deputy Assistant Secretary, Office of Oil and Natural Gas, in the Department of Energy's Office of Fossil Energy.  In this position, he was responsible for administering oil and gas programs including research and development, analysis, and natural gas regulation.

One of his major responsibilities invloved developing research programs focused on the reduction of technical, environmental, and safety concerns related to oil and gas supply, in collaboration with industry, states, and the academic community.

Previously, he worked as Program Manager for Petroleum Operations for the Naval Petroleum and Oil Shale Reserves, and as the Mid-Atlantic District Supervisor for the Minerals Management Service.  Mr. DeHoratiis holds a B.S. in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University, is a registered Professional Engineer in Petroleum.
