NEPA Reports and Records of Decision

Report of the Review of the Hanford Solid Waste Environmental Impact Statement regarding Data Quality Control and Management Issues - As part of the litigation involving receipt of offsite waste and the HSW EIS, the Court allowed the State of Washington a limited amount of discovery pertaining to iodine-129, technetium-99, and groundwater analyses. While compiling information to respond to the State discovery request, Battelle discovered three data quality issues within the data sets used for the cumulative groundwater impact analysis: As a result of these data quality issues, a team was commissioned to review the HSW EIS for additional data quality issues as well as any programmatic problems which might have contributed to errors found in the HSW EIS.
