Partnering establishes a collaborative approach among the Government and Contractor to achieve results. Partnering is not a contract; it does not alter the contractual relationship of the two parties. This teaming approach is based upon open communication, collaboration, and commitment to joint success.
Partnering refocuses the nature of the working relationship based upon mutual goals and objectives. This model emphasizes early detection of problems and issues and proactive resolution of issues sooner than would happen through the normal process of performance and reporting. Partnering, therefore, is a commitment to perform in a collaborative manner as members of team committed to a shared vision of success.
