In 2008, Amanda Anderson joined the Department of Energy (DOE) to provide health physics support in the Office of Environmental Policy and Assistance. Since that time she has held positions in the Departmental Representative’s Office to the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board and the Outreach Technical Program Director. Prior to DOE, Anderson served with distinction in the US Navy as an H-60 Helicopter Pilot for the Antisubmarine Squadron Seven and as a Department Head for Radiation Health and Radiology, and Officer and Division Officer.

Anderson is a Certified Health Physicist and has a Master’s Degree from the Colorado State University in Radiological Health Sciences and her bachelor’s degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Nuclear Engineering.
