Comments

The plume is not expected to migrate offsite of the Western New York Nuclear Service Center, 3,300 acres.
Downgradient contamination that existed prior to installation of the Permeable Treatment Wall (PTW) in 2010, which was designed to contain
the 10,000 pCi/L activity, is expanding spatially but overall the downgradient plume is dissipating. Final remediation options will be evaluated in a
Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement scheduled to be completed in 2020.
A pump and treat system operated from 1995 to 2013. Permanent shutdown is under evaluation.
Confirmed by Lead Regulator is No, as the contaminant is managed to a DOE order.
