DOE Awards Small Business Task Order for Technical Support to the Office of Environmental Management

Cincinnati - The Department of Energy (DOE) today awarded a task order for technical support services to Boston Government Services, LLC of Lenoir City, Tennessee for support services to the DOE Office of Environmental Management. The time & materials task order will be issued from the master Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract with a $1 million value and a one-year period of performance.

Boston Government Services, LLC is a small-disadvantaged business under the Small Business Administration’s 8(a) Program.

Services to be performed under the task order include:

  • Technical guidance to the Office of Waste Management (EM-30) regarding strategy and planning efforts that focus on management of cross-cutting issues related to disposition of the full range of waste managed by the DOE Office of Environmental Management (EM).
  • Technical and administrative support for the Automated Transportation Management System (ATMS) for the Office of Packaging and Transportation (EM-33).
  • Technical and administrative support for the RADCALC Program to determine if radioactive material packaging is in compliance with the regulatory transportation requirements.
  • Technical support for the planning and development of transportation logistics documents and procedures and will support sites in transportation and packaging issues.

The mission of the Office of Environmental Management is to complete the safe cleanup of the environmental legacy brought about from five decades of nuclear weapons development and government-sponsored nuclear energy research.
