DOE Awards Small Business Contract for West Valley NY Services

CINCINNATI โ€“ The Department of Energy (DOE) today awarded a task order (contract) to Chenega Global Services, LLC of Anchorage, Alaska, for administrative and technical support services at the West Valley Demonstration Project, West Valley, New York. The contract has a one-year performance period with a value of $1.3 million, and contains two one-year extension options with a total value of $4.12 million. Chenega Global Services is a certified small and disadvantaged business under the Small Business Administration.

The West Valley Demonstration Project is a former commercial nuclear fuel processing facility that operated in the late 1960 and early 1970s located about 35 miles south of Buffalo. The DOE Office of Environmental Management is performing environmental cleanup and waste management in cooperation with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA).
