DOE Extends Contract to Operate Depleted Uranium Hexafluoride Conversion Plants

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management (EM) today announced it is extending its contract for Operations of Depleted Uranium Hexafluoride (DUF6) Conversion Facilities at Paducah, Kentucky and Portsmouth, Ohio for a period of up to four months.

DOE Releases Final Request for Proposal for Los Alamos Legacy Cleanup Contract

Cincinnati -- The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) today issued a Final Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Los Alamos Legacy Cleanup Contract (LLCC) acquisition. A contract that primarily includes cost-plus-award-fee contract line items for the purpose of continuing the legacy cleanup mission is anticipated.

DOE Awards Cooperative Agreement to Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance

Carlsbad, NM --The Department of Energy’s Carlsbad Field Office today awarded a $1.7 million, five-year cooperative agreement to the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA). The purpose of this agreement is to coordinate and implement activities to train Motor Vehicle Safety Officials and ensure the safe transportation of transuranic waste between generator sites and to the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP).

Cincinnati – The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) today issued a Final Request for Proposals (RFP) for the West Valley Demonstration Project Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (WVDP-SEIS) procurement that will provide support to the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) West Valley Demonstration Project (WVDP) and the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) in developing a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement for the WVDP and Western New York Nuclear Service Center.
