Stephen L. Domotor
HSS Director, Office of Analysis
U.S. Department of Energy

Mr. Stephen Domotor has over 25 years of State and Federal Government experience in delivering programs for environmental and radiological protection, scientific research and technology development, emergency response to nuclear terrorism, and continuous improvement of nuclear facility operations and site cleanup. He currently serves within the Office of Health, Safety and Security (HSS) as Director for the Office of Analysis where he leads staff in the management, synthesis, and trending of Department-wide safety performance information associated with the diverse missions of the Department. Mr. Domotor is a graduate of the Department's Senior Executive Service Candidate Development Program, and of the Partnership for Public Service's Excellence in Government Fellows Program.

From 2007-2010 Mr. Domotor was the Deputy Director for HSS's Office of Nuclear Safety Policy and Assistance where he stood up and managed the day-to-day operations of the office and led staff in the development of nuclear safety directives and coordination of these initiatives with the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board. In 2010 Mr. Domotor served on rotational assignment with NNSA's Office of Nuclear Forensics where he led a multi-agency initiative to benchmark and select national laboratories for analysis of special nuclear material, and prepared a multi-agency business plan for standing up a $13 million program to support the nation's pre-detonation nuclear forensics mission.

From 1990-2006 Mr. Domotor served in progressively responsible technical and leadership positions within DOE's Office of New Production Reactors, Office of Environmental Management, Office of ES&H, and HSS. Prior to joining DOE in 1990, he was the Director of Maryland's Radioecology Laboratory for evaluating environmental and health impacts associated with the operation of commercial nuclear facilities in and around Maryland.
