Josh Silverman, Director of HSS' Office of Sustainability Support, was recently recognized at the White House by President Barack Obama for being selected as a 2013 Finalist for a Samuel J. Heyman Service to America Medal, also known as a "Sammie Award". Josh was recognized for his leadership in efforts to halt the release of more than one million tons of the world's most potent greenhouse gas from Energy Department facilities, the equivalent of taking over 200,000 cars off the nation's roads every year.
