Objective:

To obtain a clearer understanding of roles and responsibilities/coordination of key officials, evaluating facts to make sound decisions, the status of insider threat and trends/requirements in the areas of drug/alcohol and aberrant behavior. 

The Department of Energy is hosting the 2014 DOE Human Reliability Program (HRP) Workshop and WebEx/VTC on September 17-19, 2014 at the DOE National Training Center in Albuquerque, NM. On line Registration for the 2014 DOE Human Reliability Program Workshop and Webinar will be available on August 18.  The workshop will begin at 7:30 am on September 17 and conclude by 12:00 pm on September 19.  The NTC is only 20 minutes from the Albuquerque International Airport.

ACCESS

Kirtland Air Force Base Access

In order to access the DOE National Training Center on Kirtland Air Force Base (KAFB), all visitors must have one of the following credentials:

  • HSPD-12 Federal Credential enrolled in the KAFB Defense Biometric Identification System,
  • Defense Biometric Identification System Pass
  • Department of Defense Common Access Card
  • Military ID
  • Active Law Enforcement Credential

HSPD-12 Federal Credentials must be enrolled in the KAFB Defense Biometric Identification System.  HSPD-12 Federal Credentials will be scanned routinely at all KAFB guard gates, and access will be denied if the credential is not enrolled in the KAFB Defense Biometric Identification System.

KAFB has one off-site location for Defense Biometric Identification System enrollment:

  • Truman Gate Visitor’s Center

Monday through Friday

6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Visitors who do not possess one of the accepted credentials listed above will be required to submit a Contractor Pass Request and a Criminal Background Check form to Victoria Guevara at the DOE National Training Center Security Office. Forms should be submitted at least 15 days prior to the visit to avoid delays at the KAFB Defense Biometric Identification System Office upon pick-up.
