EECBG Success Story: North Lauderdale Gets 'Smart' on Cars

The Parks and Recreation Department of North Lauderdale, Florida, is saving money and reducing its carbon footprint, thanks to the recent addition of two energy efficient “Smart Cars” to the city’s fleet. The pint-sized cars, which can travel up to 40 miles on a single gallon of fuel, were purchased with funds from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) Program.
