Only three years into DOE’s SunShot Initiative, the U.S. solar industry is more than 60% of the way to cost-competitive utility-scale PV electricity. The Department will also make $25 million available to strengthen U.S. solar manufacturing – part of our Clean Energy Manufacturing Initiative.
The Energy Department announced the teams that will compete in the biennial Solar Decathlon, which helps train the next generation of clean energy innovators. The student teams will gather in Irvine, California, to showcase their solar-powered houses.
