On this page you will find a Webcast that was presented by the U.S. Department of Energy's Geothermal Technologies Office (GTO) (formerly Geothermal Technologies Program) to help the U.S. geothermal community effectively respond to Funding Opportunity Announcements issued in 2009.
As a result of the 2009 American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA), GTO issued four Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOAs) totaling $484 million for cost-shared research, development, and demonstration projects in geothermal technologies. These FOAs closed during July and August 2009, but current and upcoming FOAs may be viewed at the Financial Opportunities website.
This Webcast introduced the mission and objectives of GTO, explained the FOA process in detail, and presented information on each of the six topic areas of the FOAs.
You can view an introduction to the Webcast or review the slides for each of the two presentations given.
