Project Objective

The high impact technology innovation catalyst (HIT Catalyst) supports research and development into building systems optimization and technology solutions that will improve whole building performance resulting in ultra-low energy buildings. Elements of the HIT Catalyst include technical and market analysis, the use of model- and data-based analytical tools and laboratory and field testing to identify integration research and development priorities. This work leads to a better understanding of integration tradeoffs, structural and technical gaps, and long-term research and development requirements that will produce more cost-effective, ultra-low energy commercial buildings.
