The Energy Department will present a live webinar titled "Benchmarking Data Cleansing: A Rite of Passage Along the Benchmarking Journey" on Thursday, April 30, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. Presenters will train analysts, energy planners, and community officials on the principles used for identifying potential problems associated with benchmarking data and discuss a process for cleaning data prior to analysis. This webinar will help cities, communities, schools, and states that are implementing an internal or community-wide building benchmarking program, working to better understand energy use trends, and designing effective energy efficiency programs.

The Energy Department presented a webinar titled "2nd International Hydrogen Infrastructure Challenges Webinar" on Tuesday, March 10. This webinar summarizes the second international information exchange on hydrogen refueling infrastructure challenges and potential solutions, supporting the successful global commercialization of hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles. The information exchange took place in May 2014 at Toyota's Torrance, California, facility as a follow up to the previous June 2013 workshop in Berlin, Germany. Participants included experts from Germany, Japan, the United States, Scandinavia, and the European Commission.

The Energy Department presented a webinar titled "Overcoming Wind Siting Challenges: Overview and Wildlife" on Wednesday, February 18. Siting issues are a complex and challenging aspect of turbine installations for developers. This webinar discusses the Energy Department's National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) research on national siting considerations, and other agencies' and organizations' tools created to help support wind siting decisions. Webinar participants include Patrick Gilman from the Energy Department, Suzanne Tegen from NREL, Taber Allison from the American Wind Wildlife Institute, and Brian Woodbridge from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
