The Advanced Manufacturing Office (AMO) will host a workshop at the Westin Alexandria on December 2-3, 2015. This 2-day workshop will focus on the topic of High Value Roll to Roll (HV R2R) Manufacturing Innovation. Categories for discussion include Advanced Deposition Processing and Printing, Unique Metrology and Quality Systems, and Continuous Processing/Process Development Needs.

The U.S. Department of Energy invites applications for a pilot program to help companies implement ISO 50001 and the Superior Energy Performance (SEP) program across multiple facilities throughout North America and worldwide. This pilot program is in partnership with the Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC) and the national energy agencies in Canada and Mexico, National Resources Canada and Comisión Nacional para el Uso Eficiente de la Energía (National Commission for the Efficient Use of Energy).

Three Student Winners Selected for IAC Video Contest

The Industrial Assessment Centers program, administered through the Advanced Manufacturing Office, recently selected two winners, and one honorable mention for creativity, from its student video contest held earlier this summer. Students were asked to create a five minute instructional video that identified industrial energy efficiency system improvements and opportunities.

The student winners hailed from Tennessee Technological University, Syracuse University, and the University of Idaho Boise.
