Course Description: Good communication skills are an essential tool in the toolkit of a successful manager, and this program can help improve these skills. This intensive workshop provides guidance on advanced-level communications skills specifically for those who manage and direct others. Not only will participants be provided with concrete skill-building tools, but they will also learn strategies to enhance their oral and written communications. Participants create a personal action plan to help them apply the skills learned from the course to their jobs.
Audience: This course is suggested to meet 16 hours of the mandatory second year 40-hour training requirements for new supervisors. Experienced supervisors and managers may wish to attend this course to meet the 8-hour annual refresher training requirement.
