The Office of Learning and Workforce Development conducted their first Supervisors’ Community of Practice on July 29, 2014. The Community of Practice is a group of people who are bound together by shared interest and purpose. The participants shared a real desire to exchange tips, share knowledge and collaborate with one another to address their organizational needs.
The Supervisors’ Community of Practice (CoP) falls under the Knowledge Capture and Transfer Program (KCTP). The main goal of this activity is to foster sharing between DOE supervisors across organizational boundaries to solve business problems, share best practices, processes, and lessons learned. As this practice becomes integrated into the work culture, it can help streamline work processes and lead to process innovation and dollar savings.
The next Supervisor Community of Practice meeting will be held November 19, 2014 via Adobe Connect from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (EDT).
