DOE is starting a Knowledge Management Community of Practice (KM CoP). A CoP is a group of people who share a passion for specific topic of interest and get together to share knowledge and experience. The goals of the KM CoP are to:
- Share best practices for corporately promoting knowledge sharing for professional development and continual learning.
- Create a sustainable network to strategize ways to corporately prevent the potential loss of critical knowledge and skills possessed by retirement eligibles and experts.
Members of the KM CoP will be encouraged to collaborate on DOE-wide initiatives as well as contribute expertise to ensure that the Department is proactively leveraging organizational knowledge. The first virtual meeting is scheduled for April 29th from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm EST.
