Kathryn Grant serves as Special Assistant to Deputy Secretary of Energy Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall.

Prior to joining the Department of Energy, she worked at the National Security Council where she served as Special Assistant to the White House Coordinator for Defense Policy, Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction, and Arms Control. Previously, she worked at the White House in the Office of Legislative Affairs and the Office of Presidential Correspondence. In 2008 she worked on President Obama’s campaign.

Kathryn holds a BA in International Relations and Spanish and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Global Security Studies at Johns Hopkins University.
