Formed in 2010, the Energy Department's digital content team is comprised of professional digital content producers who tell stories about energy, science, technology and why they matter. Part of the Office of Public Affairs, the team creates multimedia content for Energy.gov and the Energy Department's social media channels, working to make energy and science topics exciting and accessible to regular people.

In May 2016, the team launched the Energy Department's first podcast, "Direct Current: An Energy.gov Podcast."
