ABSTRACT:

Microsoft has recommended that an update released in the latest Patch Tuesday be removed, after users reported incidents of the "blue screen of death" after installation.

DISCUSSION:

This Tech bulletin is being issued as an update to V-130: Microsoft Security Bulletin Advance Notification for April 2013.

Microsoft is investigating behavior where systems may not recover from a restart, or applications cannot load, after security update 2823324 is applied.  As an added precaution, Microsoft has removed the download links to the 2823324 update while investigation is on going.

IMPACT:

System failure

SOLUTION:

MicroSoft recommends that customers uninstall this update.
