Ms. Choi was the Director of the Office of Finance and Accounting, which consisted of Energy Finance and Accounting Service Center and Office of Financial Control and Reporting.  Ms. Choi was responsible for providing agency-wide accounting and financial management service to the Department.  She oversaw the production of accurate and timely audited financial statements.   Before joining the Department of Energy, Ms. Choi worked at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) developing financial systems policy for federal agencies.  Ms. Choi has over 18 years of experience in federal financial management.  Ms. Choi has a B.S. in accounting from the University of Maryland and is a Certified Public Accountant.
