US Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman (right) and Russian Atomic Energy Director Alexander Rumyantsev discuss progress in achieving the Bratislava Nuclear Security Initiatives in Moscow  Tuesday, May 24, 2005. The Bratislava agreement was struck by Presidents Bush and Putin during their February 2005 meeting and includes initiatives to encourage US/Russia nuclear security cooperation, including enhancing an emergency response capability to deal with a nuclear or radiological incident, and sharing "best practices" on improving security at nuclear facilities.
