This week, we’ve been highlighting the Obama Administration’s commitments to keep college affordable, expand opportunities for American families and students across the country, and further education in science, technology, engineering and math. From the Science Bowl to America’s Home Energy Efficiency Competition to the National Clean Energy Business Plan, there’s one common thread that ties all these initiatives together: the importance of STEM education for U.S. competitiveness and economic growth.

In this vein, we’ll be hosting a tweet-up next Thursday, May 10 at 4:00pm EDT with Michelle Fox -- the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy’s Chief Strategist for Workforce and Education. Tweet your questions to @ENERGY using #STEM, or send them via email to NewMedia@hq.doe.gov or the Energy Department’s Facebook page.
