If you're one of the millions of people using social-sharing site Pinterest, we have some exciting news: we're launching the Energy Department's official Pinterest page at pinterest.com/energy. There, you'll find pinboards (theme-based image collections) filled with some of our favorite topics -- such as Energy Saver tips, infographics and renewable energy sources. You can browse our pinboards for energy and science inspiration, and 'like' and 're-pin' images to your own pinboards to share with your followers.
If Pinterest isn't your thing -- or maybe you're just a social media fanatic like me -- you can also follow the Energy Department on several other online channels. Since launching the official Energy Department Facebook page and Twitter account in 2009, we recently launched a Google+ account where we're able to hold live video 'Hangouts' with experts from across the Department and energy industries. You can catch previous Hangouts on Energy.gov's official YouTube page, and also view more than 100 other science, energy and innovation videos there as well.
Whether you're on Pinterest, Facebook, or email -- we'd love to hear from you. Tell us what you'd like to see on energy.gov and social media by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org, commenting on our Facebook or Google+ page, or by tweeting @ENERGY. And since the online world is always evolving, stay tuned for additional social media updates by signing up for email updates from energy.gov.
