This month, .EDUconnections, puts the spotlight on the University of Wisconsin. UW-Madison ranks as one of the most prolific research universities in the world, providing a learning environment where faculty, staff and students can critically examine our natural world in a way that will help improve the quality of life for all. Two of their research programs, the Energy Institute and the Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center, are directly supporting the work of the Department of Energy’s scientific research programs.

The university is well known for helping students to develop an understanding and appreciation for the complex world in which we live and to realize their highest potential of intellectual, physical and human development.
