January 5, 2011 - The U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Argonne National Laboratory, General Motors and LG Chem plan to make an announcement about advanced lithium-ion battery technology for electrified vehicles. At 2:30 p.m., ET on Thursday, January 6, 2011, DOE Acting Under Secretary Cathy Zoi; Argonne Lab's Director Eric Issacs; GM Ventures President, Jon Lauckner; and LG Chem Power Inc.'s Mohamed Alamgir, will hold a media conference call to discuss the material.
