To tackle the economic and energy challenges of the 21st century we need more women at the table.
That’s why we launched the Clean Energy Education and Empowerment (C3E) Initiative – drawing on the skills and talents of women nationwide to advance American leadership in the global clean energy economy.
In addition to our programs and initiatives designed to advance women in clean energy, we also need your ideas! Join us, this Wednesday, June 27 at 1 pm EDT for a Women in Clean Energy Twitter Chat. To participate, simply follow @Energy and use the hashtag #askEnergy.
During the discussion, you’ll have an opportunity to interact and ask questions to a distinguished panel of women in clean energy, including:
- Rachel Tronstein, Senior Advisor, Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy -- tweeting from @ENERGY.
- Melanie Kenderdine, Executive Director, MIT Energy Initiative -- tweeting from @MITEnergy.
- Kateri Callahan, President, Alliance to Save Energy -- tweeting from @ToSaveEnergy.
This live discussion leads up to the first ever C3E awards program to recognize mid-career women with outstanding accomplishments in clean energy. To nominate someone you know for a C3E award, submit your nomination form by July 2, 2012.
